An awning-pergola comprises of two main parts, the supporting base made of aluminium columns (each with its own internal rainwater drainage pipe) and the top part that incorporates the motor, the front parapet and the side guides on which the fabric moves during opening and closing.
It is exactly this division in parts that allows the electric / remote controlled awning pergola be installed onto a pre-existing support base made of wood, metal, brick, concrete and so forth!
An awning-pergola can also be constructed in the form of a wall-fixed canopy that instead of columns, uses a steel cable tension support mechanism.
Another interesting option is the use of stationary or rotating aluminium blades instead of a fabric in tension, allowing us to regulate the amount of light and shade under the pergola.
